1. 2. Output -
The outputs can power a siren or
other warning device, or in the case of contacts, can trigger any number
of warning devices by powering a relay or like device.
3. Isolated Contacts - defined as
electrically isolated contacts which can be used to switch any device
within the rated voltage and current of the contacts. This is necessary
when directly connecting to a Security Control Panel, Communication
device, or any device that provides or has its own power or voltage
requirements.
4. Absolute voltage vs Rate-of-change-of voltage principle -
means that the absolute fence voltage is not measured, but its only
the "change of voltage" (plus or minus) within a fixed time frame that is sensed
(Delta T). As
long as the fence voltage remains constant or changes slowly over a period of time, the "alarm" condition will not be sensed and alarm will
not be activated.
5. Absolute Voltage Sensing
-
senses
the absolute true voltage as would a voltmeter or other measuring
device, rather than the float or average voltage of your high voltage
device.
6. Absolute Voltage Control -
controls from an absolute true voltage setting. EX: if the maintenance
"Low Voltage" set point is set to 7.5 kilovolts, then when the voltage
drops below 7.5kv, a "Low Voltage" output will be provided. This feature
is particularly valuable when the slow growth of weeds gradually drop
the fence voltage yet would NOT initiate a "Rate of Change" alarm
condition.
7. 8.. Adjustable time delay
-
"time delay" is the time provided
from the start of an abnormal voltage condition, to the point of
actually initiating an alarm or warning output.
10. 11. 12. Light Indicator
-
shows the situation of the fence.
15.
Low Current Consumption:
the device
draws very little current during normal operation. Typically about 0.05
amps which provides long battery life when utility power is off.
16. Set point -
is the fence voltage above which the electric
monitor will show a working fence and below a failing fence. In the case
of the "Fence Hawk" there are 2 set points. One is for the
"low voltage" alarm which is adjustable, and one is for the "no voltage"
alarm.
17.
Customized time delay:
From time to time, an installation requires
special needs. Special needs are easily met, by either the customer or
by request. We would hope that our customer service will stand as a
model for the rest of the industry.
